The organization
The Paris MoU consists of 27 participating maritime Administrations and covers the waters of the European coastal States and the North Atlantic basin from North America to Europe.

Our mission
The Paris MoU aims at eliminating the operation of sub-standard ships through a harmonized system of port State control.

What we do
Annually over 20.000 inspections take place on board foreign ships in the Paris MoU ports, ensuring that these ships meet international safety, security and environmental standards, and that crew members have adequate living and working conditions.

CONCENTRATED INSPECTION CAMPAIGN ON MARPOL ANNEX I

The 25 Maritime Authorities of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control (Paris MoU) carried out a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) with the purpose to ensure that vessels entering the ports of the Paris MoU comply with the regulations in MARPOL Annex I. The CIC was conducted from 1st of February 2006 and was completed on 30th April 2006.
